TOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!

Ik ben vandaag zo onwaarschijnlijk verrast!!! Adriana, Revlie en Christiane hebben Petra, Janine en MIJ tot nieuwe DT leden van Scrap-Club gekozen!!!!!

Ik maakte me hiertoe helemaal geen illusies en ik ben ook zo benieuwd wat de doorslag heeft gegeven! Ik ben de hele middag verbaasd, vereerd, blij, trots, ook wel wat nerveus over wat me te wachten staat en af en toe wat lacherig... Zo gaaf om met zulke getalenteerde meiden samen te werken!
Super om via het mb van Scrap-Club, telefoon en mail allemaal felicitaties te krijgen! Meiden bedankt!

Jullie vroegen me ook naar mijn inzendingen voor deze call. Eerlijk gezegd hebben jullie alles -op1 na- al voorbij zien komen. De Ipod layout was n.a.v. de specifieke opdracht (zie post 15 mei). Het overige werk mocht al eerder ergens voor gemaakt zijn. Zo koos ik als favo gealtered item mijn plexiglas memoblok.
Als favo 12 x 12 layout die van Deltawerken (post 22 maart) en als favo 8,5 x 12 layout deze simpele maar dierbare. Misschien hebben mijn ideeën voor uitdagingen wel de doorslag gegeven maar die houden jullie in de toekomst wel te goed ;)


Today I was so asthonishing surprised! Adriana, Christiane and Revlie have chosen Petra, Janine and ME to be their new Scrap-Club DT members!!!
I didn’t have any illusion at all so I really wonder what settled the matter to choose me!?
The whole afternoon I was surprised, happy, honoured, proud, a little nervous about what to expect of this all and now and then a little giggly….
So cool to be able to cooperate with all those talented girls!!!
And so much fun to get your congrats by Scrap-Club mb, telephone and mail! Thanks a lot girls!!!
You asked me about my contributions for this call. Well you already have seen a lot of this on my blog. The specific assignment was the Ipod layout (15 may post). The rest was allowed to already be posted elsewhere. My favo altered item was the plexiglass/acryl memo holder.
My fav. 12 x 12” layout was the Deltawerken ( 22 march post) and my fav. 8, 5 x 11” layout is this simple but dear one called “Brothers”.
We had to come up with some ideas for 5 challenges and maybe this settled most for me… but hey…. I’ll show you those challenges later when it’s my turn ;)

Scrap-Club call and a RAK

Ik heb vandaag mijn inzending verstuurd Naar Scrap-Club voor de oproep om nieuwe Design Team leden. Naast twee favoriete layouts en een gealtered item moest ook een nieuwe layout gemaakt worden met papier van 3 verschillende fabrikanten; swirls en minimaal 1 zwart/wit foto over een favoriet iets.
Ik ben begonnen met een layout over mijn parkerpen die al 30 jaar mijn favoriet is en waar een soort bijgeloof op rust. Uiteindelijk vond ik de foto te veel lijken op een blaadje met journaling dus maakte ik tenslotte een layout over mijn andere favoriet; Ipod!
25 mei volgt de uitslag... spannend! Duimen jullie voor me?
Marguerita heeft me getagged om 7 dingen te noemen over mijzelf die zo maar in me opkomen!
Ik ben nu alleen maar druk druk druk want over 8 uur vertrekken we naar Barcelona!!! En ik moet nog zoooooooooo veel doen.... zie de vorige keer dat ik getagged ben.... hahahaha
Ik doe het aan het eind van deze post wel in het Engels! En dan heb ik ook nog een verrassing weg te geven!

Today I submitted to the Scrap-Club DT call. Two favorite layouts and one altered item. And one special layout; paper of 3 manufacturers, swirls, at least one black and white photo about a favorite something. First I made the layout about my Parker pen which brings me supersticious luck since 30 years... but the photo seemed to be just journaling and last weekend I decided to make another one about my Ipod!
New DT members will be announced at May 25.... so exciting! Will you please keep your fingers crossed?

I was tagged by Marguerita to tell 7 random kind of things about me. Well let me tell you I'm busy busy busy....because we're leaving for a Barcelona trip in about 8 hours and there is so much left to do..... as you can read the last time I was tagged.... LOL!
1. I need special ear plugs in a airplane; otherwise i can't hear anything the next couple of days.
2. I need ear plugs to get asleep in a hotel.
3. I'm not a clever girl for when I don't use the special ones in the plane, I don't need the ones in the hotel.... LOL!
4. I'm reading "Shadow in the wind" written by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Barcelona setting.
5. I was so optimistic to think I might read 100 p. each day last week to finish it in time.
6. I only did 200 (out of 540!) so I'll take the book with me (another optimistic idea..)
7. I take my new camera ánd manual to B. and will take a LOT of pictures.

Sorry, I'll not tag others this time... we're leaving in 7 hours now..... But....
I have a surprise for those who guess exactely how many photos I'll take!

Teleurgesteld/ Disappointed...

Helaas! Mijn mini-album en layout 'All about me at 43' waren niet goed genoeg om door te gaan naar de tweede ronde. Ik moet toegeven dat ik daar best teleurgesteld over ben... maar goed; ik ben vooral heel erg blij met m'n albumpje en ik ga me nu helemaal storten op de DT oproep van Scrap-Club.

Voor een geluksvogel en zondagskind als ik kan het ook helemaal geen kwaad eens flink teleurgesteld te worden! Dan kom ik gelijk bij mijn layout voor de Finding You workshop. Ik plaats daarvan geen layouts op mijn blog maar voor deze maak ik een uitzondering (zonder het tekstgedeelte). Zo anders dan anders.... Gescheurd Basic Grey onder veel lagen mixed media en mijn symboliek niet alleen in kleur maar ook met ansichtkaarten weergegeven.

My mini book and 'All about me @ 43' layout didn't make it to the 2nd round. I must admit to be very disappointed right now... but; I'm esp. very happy with the book and now I'll go completely for the DT-call of Scrap-Club.

After all it's good for me to be disappointed for I'm that lucky dog and Sunday child!

Let me show you my week 4 layout of Finding You; full of symbols. I'll show it to you without the jounaling part. So different from what I usually do.... Teared Basic Grey under a lot of mixed media layers. Used symbols not only by use of colour but also by post cards.

De afgelopen dagen waren we druk (10 uur weg- 22 uur thuis) met shoppen in Amsterdam en een bezoek aan Drievliet en het prachtige nieuwe huis van Yvonne en Rob. Het liefst zou ik nu in de tuin gaan zitten met een stapel tijdschriften en een kop koffie maar we gaan nu eerst weer op pad voor nieuwe fietsen....

Last couple of days we were very busy shopping in Amsterdam and visiting Drievliet (kind of fun park) and the lovely new house of my sister Yvonne and Rob. I would love to sit in the garden with some magazines and a cup of coffee but first we have to look for new bikes....

Sunny Sunday

Hier is mijn layout voor de Design Team wedstrijd van Dolls & Decorations. Ik vind 'm zelf een beetje druk maar dat ben ik op dit moment ook wel... LOL! Waarschijnlijk staat de helft er nog niet op over mij maar ook gezien de Finding You workshop ben ik steeds zo met mijzelf bezig dat ik me een beetje zat werd...

Vanmorgen gefietst langs het traject van de Akersloot-Alkmaar roeiwedstrijd. Jeugdsentiment voor mij want ik heb van mijn 16e tot 31e intensief bij de ARZV geroeid. Het blijft een mooie sport!

Via de binnenstad fietsten we terug voor een ijsje en het Waagplein stond al vol rode AZ shirts. De hele dag staat hier in het teken van de voetbal. Als AZ landskampioen wordt, gaat Erik vanavond naar de huldiging maar ik ben blij dat Wouter en Ivo thuis blijven. Zelf geef ik niks om voetbal maar ik ben wel heel erg nieuwsgierig naar wat Corinne van plan is als AZ wint!

The layout is for the DT call of Dolls & Decorations. A little bit to much and kind of busy but that's the way I feel right now.... LOL! There's a lot more to say about me at 43 but I decided this is enough for the moment since I'm thinking a lot about me because of the Finding You workshop...



Tomorrow we went by bike along the traject to see the first heat of the Akersloot-Alkmaar rowing regatta. Kind of sentimental journey since rowing was my sport at the age of 16 till 31. Such a great kind of sport!


Towards home we stopped in Alkmaar centre for an ice cream and it was already very crowdy with AZ (local prof. soccer team) fans. They can become Dutch champion this afternoon and everything is soccer at the moment in our house and city!!! Tonight Erik will be at the stadium with some friends to celebrate the championship but I'm glad Wouter and Ivo will stay at home. Idon't give a damn about soccer but I'm so anxious to what Corinne is up to when AZ will win!

Bij Scrapscene kun je je abonneren op een nieuwsbrief of gewoon elke dag een kijkje nemen op hun site met de nieuwste vondsten op scrapgebied. Ze geven tips voor sites waar je weer andere tips krijgt en op die manier ontdekte ik de site van de Nederlandse scrapkalender.

Het is nu nog leeg maar zet 'm maar in je favorieten zodat je straks met 1 druk op de knop kunt zien waar layouts gevraagd worden.

Ik heb nog nooit layouts gestuurd naar Nederlandse scraptijdschriften maar wel naar CK; hahahaha wat een lef hè!? Dit was voor het thema regen-effect van CK april. Ik vond 'm zelf wel goed gevonden met de regenfoto op transparanten en gebruikt als overlay maar helaas vonden zij dat niet... Ik heb die layout een paar weken geleden op mijn blog geplaatst. De ander was n.a.v. een Becky Higgins sketch en als ik het goed heb is dat die van CK mei. Ik heb die layout nog nergens laten zien dus wie weet waag ik de gok en stuur ik 'm naar een NL scraptijdschrift.

Ook kun je straks op de site zien waar Design Team leden worden gezocht. Momenteel is er veel vraag naar nieuwe DT leden, namelijk bij Dolls & Decorations, Scrap-Club en Piens atelier. Bij de eerste twee wil ik ook mijn bijdragen insturen maar dan mag ik wel eens opschieten!!!

As you can see I linked to Scrapscene and to a new website ; Dutch version of Pubcalls. I've never submitted layouts to Dutch magazines but DID to CK (boy how brave I am.... hahaha). They didn't pick my idea for "rain-effect" for CK april and Becky Higgins sketch for CK may.

I like to submit my work for the DT calls at Dolls & Decorations and Scrap-Club. You'll never know!
